Greaves, the most prolific winner in short-course racing, will add Liquid Force to its Pro 4 and Pro 2 teams driven by himself and Jeremy McGrath.

Orlando, Fla. — The King of Wake — the world’s elite pro wakeboarding series — announced today where and when the top pro riders will compete for the ultimate wakeboarding crown, with the release of its 2010 schedule. In 2010, the top pros will compete in a series of eight events throughout the United States for one ultimate season-long points chase to see who rules the wake.

The eight events included in the 2010 series are the Wake Games, the WWA National Championships, the WWA World Championships and all five stops on the Pro Wakeboard Tour.

The King of Wake opens and ends its 2010 series at the Orlando Watersports Complex in Orlando, Fla. The series kicks off with the Wake Games on April 29-May 2 and wraps up the season on Aug. 19-22 with the WWA World Championships.

The Pro Wakeboard Tour features five stops, beginning on May 22 in Acworth, Ga. The Pro Tour then continues on to Fort Worth, Tex., on June 12; Elizabethtown, Ky., on June 19; Colorado Springs, Colo., on July 24; and concludes in Knoxville, Tenn. on Aug. 14, where a Pro Tour winner will be crowned.

The WWA National Championships, held in the greater Reno area of Sparks, Nev., on July 14-18, will mark the midpoint of the season, and the Chase for the Crown will begin following this event.

The Chase limits the King of Wake crown to the top 10 riders in the standings midway through the season. Only the 10 riders involved in the Chase will have their point totals adjusted and have the remaining three stops for topping each other in the standings for the King of Wake crown. The overall winner will be crowned at the 2010 Wake Awards.

Canada’s Aaron Rathy is the current King of Wake champion and will look to defend his title in 2010 against the sport’s top riders, including Pro Tour titlist and 2009 Rookie of the Year Harley Clifford; current National champion Adam Errington; and defending Wake Games winner Rusty Malinoski.

riders Bob Soven and Kevin Henshaw were the highlights of the day. Thanks everybody who was

Alternative Press has just launched a stream of Small Brown Bike ’s new 7”, Composite Vol. 2 and is hosting an exclusive premiere of their “Hourglass” video. You can stream two new songs, “Some Optimistic” and “Never Walk This Alone,” and check out the exclusive premier of their video for the song “Hourglass” from Composite Vol. 1, by clicking here.

Scheduled for release on March 9th, Composite Vol. 2 will feature two new songs tracked this past January in the band’s home recording studio and mixed/mastered by Dave Feeny at Tempermill . The 7” will be limited to 1,100 physical copies (with digital download) and will be the second in their 7” series of new material for No Idea Records .

The band commented on the new material on Composite Vol. 2 and filming the video:

“We filmed this with some buddies in Orlando after The Fest 8. We wanted something to document Composite Vol. 1, so we had a BBQ and spent the afternoon playing music.”

The video for “Hourglass” was directed by Chase Heavener from FCTN and shot by Chase Heavener, Matt Staker, and Ben Reed. The live audio was captured by Ben Reed and Dan Jaquint.

The band will be playing Gainesville and Orlando while in Florida performing at the second annual Harvest of Hope Fest (HOH FEST) March 12th-14th in St. Augustine, FL.  They’ll also be performing a rare acoustic set at Orlando’s Park Ave CDs at 5:30pm before their show that evening.

The Bike will also head out again in May for a string of shows in the Northeast, their first since the Fall of 2003. All dates and support acts are listed below. The only all ages shows are Harvest of Hope Fest and Philadelphia, PA.
